| My family once owned this original work of art. Titled the "Song of the Talking Wire", by H. F. Farney 1904. They sold it during a downturn in their small logging business during the mid-1960's. The painting now resides in an art history museum in Cincinatti, Ohio. My parents were paid pennies on the dollar back then; but it was a small price to pay for helping preserve the artists legacy, and some important American history. We were also given a framed photograph of the work and I still love it. It speaks volumes about individual resolve and self-determination more than anything else. Sadly, it also gives us a glimpse of a people who are, either not willing to change; or who perhaps just don't have the capacity to stretch that much. It is the closing of an era. However, I can imagine the children of this man in the picture; it may mean a new opportunity for their families, for generations to come. We shall see; are you listening?--Riverwalker
