| Papa Rafe was a river guide. So, in the late 1970's we had opportunity to float with him down the Wild and Scenic section of the Rogue River. A high point for me was when we visited the actual cabin where Zane Grey wrote many of his famous novels. After reading a biography about the man, I learned he is considered by many to be the father of the Western novel. I was delighted to also discover that he wrote all those books to support his real love--fishing. At one point he held thirteen world fishing records! The Rogue happened to be one of his favorite fishing spots--Riverwalker
